Kayla Kipp, CTEM 
Certified Turf Equipment Manager

Nemacolin, Farmington, PA- Mystic Rock & Shepherd’s Golf Course

Kayla Kipp, CTEM, is the Equipment Manager at Nemacolin in Farmington, Pa., and served in the US Air Force as a Heavy Equipment Journeyman for 6 years. That experience, paired with attention to detail and integrity, has led her to maintaining and managing a fleet of 175 pieces of golf and grounds maintenance equipment, 62 reels, and a 3,000 sq. ft. maintenance facility. Nemacolin is the home of two Pete Dye designed 18-hole courses, Mystic Rock Golf Course and Shepherd’s Rock Golf Course. Kipp is no longer alone in the facility as she has a veteran technician by her side. She has also performed work for Wisp Resort in McHenry, Md., Thousand Acres Lakeside Golf Club in Swanton, Md. and Stoneleigh Golf and Country Club in Round Hill, Va. She started her role at Nemacolin in the spring of 2022 after serving as the sole technician at Wisp Resort for 8 years. 

Kayla has achieved her certification as a Certified Turf Equipment Manager through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). She is one of 33 in the world to hold this certification in the industry and is, notably, the first woman to do so.  Kayla is also a part of the Women in Turf Team and has volunteered at a number of events on both, golf and sports fields.

Brad Jakubowski, C.I.T, 

Associate Professor of Teaching for Irrigation and Plant Sciences

PennState University

Brad has been involved with the Green Industry for over 30 years, working within the golf course, residential/commercial, and sport field areas. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Teaching for Irrigation and Plant Sciences at Penn State University. In addition to teaching multiple irrigation and turfgrass management courses, Brad has taught meteorology and various sustainability courses and is an advocate of irrigation auditing and conservation. Brad is the 2022 recipient of the Irrigation Association Excellence in Education Award and currently serves on the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) Conference Education Task Group. 

Kelly Lynch, PGA
Regional Sales – Northern US

Kelly Lynch is a rare female Class A PGA member and is in the 1% of females who has coached both Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf, Division I Rowing, and Professional Golf.  

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Eastern Washington University. 

Combined Kelly has 30+ years leading teams in professional environments and collegiate athletics.  Currently, Kelly is looking to lead transformations in the turfgrass world.  With the mentorship of Dr. Leah Brilman, Kelly fell in love with the turfgrass industry. The ability to build strong professional relationships while keeping everything green was a perfect fit.  Today Kelly works for Pure Seed as their Northern US Regional Manager. 

When Kelly says that she is from Oregon and sells grass… people are like… cool!  Kelly then has to correct them and say …” not the kind you smoke… the kind you play golf on!”

Kelly is most proud to be one of the 29 female turf professionals that made history when they broke the Grass Ceiling at the 76th US Women’s Open.
